NERIM Group of Institutions is a group of Colleges established in the year 1992 by NERIM Educational Society with a view to promote specialized professional education in the North Eastern Region of the Country. These Institutions are affiliated to Dibrugarh University and Gauhati University for their various courses. The Department of Technical Education, Government of Assam initially extended its active support for the establishment of this Institution with a view to promote skill based professional education in this part of the country.

NERIM Group of Institutions has come into existence with the prime objective of designing and formulating need-based academic and professional programmes independently as well as in collaboration with other leading Management Institutes and Universities for imparting teaching and training to the young educated people in the skills that find ready employment in an era of high career uncertainty.The Institute is committed to contribute significantly towards the various needs of the cross-section of the society by producing trained young professionals in the fields of Management, Computer Science & IT, Education, Social Work, Applied Psychology, Teacher Education, Commerce and Juridical Studies. The Institution is dedicated towards imparting quality teaching and training to the future generation in skills that untie exclusive avenues of opportunities and ready employment amidst high level of unemployment and career dilemma.

Class Room Lectures, Group Discussions, Seminars, Conferences, Case Studies, Role Plays’, Management Games and Moot Court constitute the pedagogy at NERIM Group of Institutions. Added to the curriculum, NERIM Group of Institutions includes mentoring systemand regular personality & communication- skill development sessions to help the students in grooming themselves up as competent professionals. Personal touch is maintained with each and every student in a controlled academic environment including day to day supervision of class attendance as an integral part of its academic administration.

JOURNEY OF NERIM...

NERIM began its illustrious journey through NERIM Educational Society with the establishment of its half-acre campus at Nabin Nagar on . The first programme of NERIM was Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) commencing with few students from the academic session, July 1993. The journey took a major leap in the year 1999 with the commencement of the first batch of Two-Year Full Time Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme affiliated to Dibrugarh University, followed by the Three Year Full Time Master of Computer Application (MCA) programme in 001. Both MBA and MCA programmes are being duly approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), MHRD, Govt. Of India each year. Keeping in view the demand in professional field, the institute maintained the trend of securing affiliation from Dibrugarh University for undergraduate programmes with Three Year Full Time Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme & the Three Year Full Time Bachelor of ComputerApplication (BCA) programmes in 2004 and 5-Year Integrated BA LLB (Hons) programme being introduced in 2006 respectively. The approval from Bar Council of India (BCI) for 5-Year Integrated BA LLB (Hons) programme was obtained in the year 2008. In the year 2012, NERIM took a new step into Social stream, Commerce education and Legal education with the introduction of a Master in Social Work (MSW), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) and Master of Law (LL.M) under Dibrugarh University.Again in 2015, NERIM got its approval to introduce the Two year full time master degree programme in Applied Psychology under the prescribed syllabi of Dibrugarh University.

NERIM started its association with Gauhati University through the introduction of B.Ed Programme in the year of 2004 with due approval from NCTE. Further the Institution got its approval to introduce Under Graduate Programme (B.Com.) and PostGraduate Programme (M.Com.) in Commerce Stream from the year 2014 under Gauhati University. Today NERIM stands as a premier educational institution in North East with the total enrollment of more than 2500 students, not only from across the country but also from foreign countries aswell. The year 2017 holds significance and special reference in the journey of NERIM Group of Institutions as the This year, the Institution proudly celebrates the completion of 25 glorious years of success and excellence in higher education.
